Hello, my name is Steven Mancuso and I am an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Criminal Justice at VSU. I have been teaching courses in Juvenile Justice here since 2005. I graduated from St. Johns University, in my home town of Staten Island, NY in 1997 with a B.S majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in Security Administration. I moved to Georgia in 1997 and began attending Valdosta State University in 1999. I received my M.S degree in Criminal Justice in 2001.

My full time employment is with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice. I began employment with them in 1997 and have held various positions including Juvenile Probation/Parole Specialist II, Juvenile Probation/Parole Specialist III, Juvenile Program Manager, and Assistant District Director.

We have had several VSU students complete internships with our department and a few of my former students are now employed with DJJ. That has been one of the most rewarding parts of my employment with VSU. If you are interested in either an internship or possible employment with DJJ, please feel free to contact me.
