International Students Night at Hildegard's
On October 9th, 2005 international students
gathered at Hildegard's, a downtown coffee and tea lounge, to relax
and to enjoy a cup of coffee served with a talent of their fellow
students. The event started out as a regular international students
meeting and eventually grew into a small and cozy performance night
that included poems, songs, a dance and much more. SIS officers and
CIP faculty members were delighted to have plenty of American student
participants alongside with internationals. The event was a great
opportunity for SIS to increase awareness of other cultures and to
promote diversity within the Valdosta Community.
| Maral Mukhammedova (Turkmenistan), CIP Graduate
Assistant, greeted the guests and participants of the International
Students Night at Hildegard's and Caio Avelino (Brazil), the President
