![]() This February 8th-10th hundreds of young people from the Southeast will converge in Valdosta, Georgia for a just and sustainable energy future Come join the historic continuation of the development of the Youth Climate Movement in the Southeast. Creating a just and sustainable energy future is our generation’s greatest challenge. This February 8th - 10th, 2008 at Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia we will continue to train to next generations leaders to meet this challenge. Registration fee is now $35, However it is FREE FOR VSU STUDENTS More info on the SSREC!In planning for its monumental 5th year the SSREC has broadened its scope to build an inclusive movement in the southeast encouraging diversity in all forms.The conference will included 3 days of:
--Inspiring Speakers
that will address the issues of energy, climate change, and environmental justice.--Panels --Workshops This years workshop tracks reach beyond campuses including;
-- Environmental Justice and Anti-oppression --Community -- High School
-- Campus 101 and 202
-- Faculty and Staff
These changes represent the values within the youth climate movement and the realization of the need for our movement to go beyond that of past environmental movements, to build a truly inclusive energy future that will provide for all people. Please join us for the 5th annual Southeast Student Renewable Energy Conference February 8-10, 2008 at Valdosta State University.
