Climbing is FREE for VSU SRC Members and Guests.
No experience is necessary to climb

All climbers must be signed-in with the VSU Climbing Wall
Staff before they can participate. Climbers must check in with the Climbing Wall Staff each time they climb.

First Time Users/Beginner Climbers
Never climbed before? Come check us out! The VSU Climbing Wall Staff will take care of everything and all you need to do is climb.

Belay Certification Class
Are you tired of waiting for climbing wall staff member to belay you for a climb? This class is for people that have a passion for climbing and want to increase their skill level. This is a basic class to teach policies, harness use, knot tying, VSU belay skills and basic climbing skills. After the class you will be certified to belay anybody that has signed off on their waiver for a personal belayer. If you want to have another lifelong activity contact the AD Outdoor Programs and set up a class.
Class Size = 2-6 people

Belay Certified Climbers
Every VSU member who wishes to become certified to belay must take the "VSU Certified Belayer" skills test. This test involves a hands-on component and is required regardless of experience. You must pass with 100% accuracy to receive approval of being Belay Certified. Once certified you will be able to belay climbers that have signed of on the personal belayer on their waiver form. Certified belayers should not allow any non-belay certified members to belay. If you are interested in becoming belay certified, speak with a Climbing Wall Staff member or Contact the AD Outdoor Programs.

Group Climbing
If you are looking for something different for your group or special event, then give us a call! We offer private climbing sessions during non-peak hours. Sessions are generally two hours and can accommodate 15-20 people per session. Great for social events, team building, RA programs and more.
