Timeline

The Presidential Search and Screen Committee expected timeline is: January 2008/February 2008:  Advertise the position in various higher education outlets.

January 2008: Meet with various constituent groups to explain the search process, address questions and concerns about 
the process, and gain input about what skills and characteristics they perceive as important for a VSU President.

January 2008 through March 2008:  Identify through advertising, nominations/recommendations, and direct recruiting of qualified candidates.

Beginning of April 2008:  Identify qualified candidates for interviews.

Mid-April 2008:  Interview qualified candidates and identify candidates for VSU campus visits.

Last two weeks of April 2008:  Arrange on-campus interviews of qualified candidates.

End of April 2008: submit five unranked candidates to Regent McMillan and the Special Regents Selection Committee.
