University Planning Advisory Council
The University Planning Advisory Council is charged with coordinating and ensuring consistency among the five elements of VSU’s planning process (strategic plan, budget plan, master plan, facilities plan, and external plan). It also identifies and ensures direct connections with the Board of Regents’ strategic plan. Clear, two-way communication is a vital expectation of this process. The Council obtains broad input from the campus through the strategic planning retreat and the work of the goal committees. In turn, members communicate with the campus and faculty, staff, and student constituents regarding the status of projects and progress toward action steps. The Council receives reports from the planning committees, requests clarification of those reports when necessary, and develops a supportive overview of VSU's overall planning process.
