Students major in Physics to understand the fundamental forces that govern our world, they major in Astronomy to study and explore the Final Frontier of Space, they major in Environmental Geosciences to understand, protect, and preserve our most valuable resource of Planet Earth, and they enroll in the Engineering Studies Program to complete the foundation of a rewarding degree that can be received from Georgia Tech. Scientists in the department also provide students with access to remote telescope observatories in Arizona, excursions to important Physics instrument facilities within the region, and two-day to three-week-long field trips within Georgia to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and the Desert Southwest.
