Phase I: Academics
During the academic year, Valdosta State University Upward Bound program provide after school tutoring and advising services on campus. Upward Bound staff members are available during office hours 8:00 A.M. – 5:30 P.M. Additionally, the Upward Bound staff meets with teachers, counselors, and advisors throughout the school year.
New students and parents must attend the orientation session in-order to receive the student handbook, calendars, and other necessary information pertaining to the program.

Phase II: Summer
During the summer program, our Upward Bound students live on the campus of Valdosta State University for six weeks. Supervised by both full and part-time staff members in the residence halls and classrooms.
