Accelerated BSN Program for
Second Degree Students

Students pursuing a B.S. degree with a major in nursing are required to complete the University Core Curriculum prior to admission to the College of Nursing. Application for admission to the College of Nursing should be initiated during the semester in which the core curriculum requirements will be completed. Current VSU pre-nursing students are encouraged to work closely with their advisors to ensure timely progression through the core curriculum. Transfer students should contact the College of Nursing as soon as possible for advisement regarding completion of core curriculum and readiness for admission.
Once admitted to the College of Nursing, students take four (4) semesters of nursing courses which can be completed in 14 months of full-time study.
