Call for Scholarly Papers
NOTES ON TEACHING ENGLISH seeks scholarly papers (3000-5000 words) for its December 2006 volume.
Focus: Teaching Students the Global Context.
Rationale: Too often, students--and teachers--think in terms of "us and them" when discussing other nations, cultures, and ethnicities. Articles submitted should discuss ways to help college-level students move past compare / contrast models for understanding the global community.
Scholarly Apparatus: All submissions should incorporate the ideas and theories of other scholars on the topic, be submitted electronically, and follow Submission Guidelines.
