Notes on Teaching English is currently seeking articles that address pedagogical issues connected to teaching on-line English courses at the college level for its December 2007 issue.
Submissions must demonstrate a solid grounding in teaching on-line, as well as knowledge of current
theory and research connected to the development and / or teaching of on-line courses.
Submissions may focus on the design and teaching of courses in literature, composition,
linguistics, or other related English courses. They may also address the philosophical
implications for on-line English education: quality control, issues of plagiarism or other
forms of academic dishonesty, teacher / student workloads, interdisciplinarity, or educational access.
Submissions should elucidate benefits and / or problem areas involved in teaching on-line courses
and ways to anticipate or address potential problems to increase benefits for students, professors,
and / or administrators.
