Submissions should be between 1000--3000 words. They must use the most recent MLA citation and format guidelines. Submissions must be saved in MS Word 2002 or earlier.
We only accept electronically submitted articles. We publish twice per year and restrict number of publications to two scholarly works per issue. The number of creative pieces published varies depending on number of submissions and quality of submissions.
Submissions should be attached to an e-mail to the general editor, or burned on a cd sent via snail mail to: Theresa Mae Thompson, General Editor; Notes on Teaching English; Dept. of English; Valdosta State University; Valdosta, GA 31698
Hardcopy submissions will not be considered.
All submissions undergo at least one blind peer review.
Include two copies of your submission--one with your name and one without--an email will your name, academic affiliation, e-mail address, snail-mail address, and daytime phone number. Please include a brief biographical description related to your publication history, education, and experience with teaching.
Our focus is the teaching of English, but to focus on practical application does not imply a lack of need for scholarly or theoretical engagement. Therefor, NOTE will no longer consider articles that do not actively use current scholarship related to their topic.
