NOTES ON CONTRIBUTORS

Jane Kinney is an Assistant Professor of English at Valdosta State University. She received her Ph.D. in 1992 from Duke University, where she specialized in seventeenth-century prose fiction. Dr. Kinney has presented conference papers on such figures as Margaret Cavendish, Thomas Deloney, and John Reynolds. Her article for NOTE reflects her experiences as a participant in the 1996 NEH Summer Institute, "Cartography and History: Using Maps in Teaching the Humanities," held at the Hermon Dunlap Smith Center for the History of Cartography at the Newberry Library.
