Volunteer Valdosta under way

Valdosta State University students and staff participated in Volunteer Valdosta on Saturday, Aug 14. Over 150 volunteers from VSU assisted with the S.L. Mason Elementary School Clean Up that lasted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Duties included playground area yard work, garden renovation, painting, and mural painting. The school's principal John Davis and teachers were grateful for all the hard work and effort of all participants. As Volunteer Valdosta grows, the program will visit more schools in the Valdosta area.
