Fire damages theatre at VSU

A fire damaged part of Valdosta State University’s Sawyer Theatre on Monday, July 16, 2007. Water and smoke damage was reported in the small theatre located on the first floor of the Fine Arts Building. There were a few individuals in the building at the time of the fire, about 6 p.m., but no one was injured. The cause of the fire has not been determined.

Classes will continue in the Fine Arts Building as scheduled. Updated information will be posted on VSU’s home Web page at www.valdosta.edu .
