Dr. George Gaumond

Dr. George Gaumond was re-elected chariman of the Georgia State Board for the Certification of Librarians for 2009. The Librarian Board is one of many state certification boards under the Office of the Secretary of State Karen Handel. Dr. Gaumond was appointed to the board in 2005 by Governor Sonny Perdue.

Spring convocation scheduled for January 6

Valdosta State University President Dr. Ronald M. Zaccari will deliver the Spring Semester 2005 convocation address on Thursday, January 6 at 10 a.m. in the Whitehead Auditorium. All faculty, staff and students are invited to attend this event.

President Zaccari's remarks will be carried live on VSU-TV (cable 11). The speech will be rebroadcast at 8 p.m. on Thursday and again at 8 p.m. on Monday, January 10.
