Spring convocation scheduled for January 5
Dr. Ronald M. Zaccari, president of Valdosta State University, will deliver the Spring Semester 2006 convocation address on Thursday, January 5 at 10:30 a.m. in the P.E. Complex on Baytree Road. All faculty, staff and students are invited to attend this event.
This year marks the university's 100th birthday, and President Zaccari is expected to give an overview of centennial celebration activities. The president is also expected to announce the names of the three illustrious VSU alumni who have agreed to serve as the university's honorary centennial co-chairpersons.
The convocation will be carried live on VSU-TV (cable 11). The president's speech will be rebroadcast at 8 p.m. on Thursday and again at 8 p.m. on Friday, January 6.
