VSU Basketball Teams Host Important Conference Matchups Saturday Afternoon and Monday Night; Local Accelerated Readers To Be Honored Saturday

The Lady Blazer and Blazer basketball teams will host West Georgia Saturday night, January 17th in important Gulf South Conference games. Both VSU teams are enjoying successful seasons. The Blazers are 13-1 and ranked 12th nationally while the Lady Blazers are 12-2. The ladies tip off at 5:30 p.m. and the men will follow at 7:30 p.m. Saturday is also the night that the VSU Athletic Department will recognize the top Accelerated Readers from the city and county schools. Come out and support the Lady Blazers and Blazers. Both teams will return to action Monday night (1/19) against Lincoln Memorial with the women playing at 6:00 p.m. and men at 8:00 p.m.
