Concert Choir is the largest vocal ensemble at VSU.  It is open to all VSU students without audition.  It performs regularly with the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra in large choral works.  In the spring of 1999 the choir traveled and performed in Hungary.

Chamber Singers is the premier choral group at VSU and performs the highest level of choral music.  It is open to any VSU student by audition only.  In March 2002 Chamber Singers will travel to Italy for a performance tour.

The Spotlighters specializes in vocal jazz singing.  The group performs regularly both on and off campus.  It sometimes performs in concert with the VSU Jazz Ensemble.  The director is Mr. Ed Barr, instructor of jazz.

Opera & Musical Theater performs scenes from opera and musical theater and full-scale opera productions.  Most recently have been workshop performances of the children's opera Alice in Wonderland, which was taken on tour to elementary schools, a Stephen Sondheim review and a mainstage production of The Magic Flute, performed with the VSU Opera Orchestra.
