We are very pleased to announce, the Blazin' Brigade plans to once again have a danceline as part of the marching band program starting in the Fall of 2010! The Blazin' Brigade has been selected and will perform during halftime of the Jaguars vs. Buccaneers NFL Pre-season Football Game in Jacksonville, FL on August 22, 2009.

Congratulations to Miss Megan DeWitt (one of the Blazin' Brigade's feature twirlers)! Megan is the winner of the 2009 Miss College Majorette of Georgia, Georgia State Solo Champion, Georgia State 2 baton Champion, and Georgia State 3 baton Champion.

VSU Blazin' Brigade Drum Major Auditions will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 in the Fine Arts Bldg. If you are interested in auditioning, please see Mr. Bradshaw for an audition packet. All current members of the Blazin' Brigade are eligible to audition.

Congratulations to Eric Bradshaw and the VSU Blazin' Brigade for their recent invitation to be one of two marching bands to represent the United States at the Shanghai Festival as part of the World Expo in September of 2010.

Color guard and Percussion audition/clinic dates have been set. The 2009 clinics will be held at the VSU Fine Arts Building on June 12th and 13th. For more information please visit schedules.

The 2009 VSU Band Camp dates are set. Percussion, guard, and student leadership will report on Sunday, August 9th. All others will reprt on Tuesday, August 11th. A detailed schedule can be viewed at schedules. Additional information regarding band camp and the start of the band season will be mailed to you later this Spring and early summer.

The VSU Blazin' Brigade will once again be a co-host (with the Lowndes H.S. Bridgemen) and DCI host Teal Sound for the 2009 "Sounds of the South." The event will be held on July 10th at the Lowndes H.S., Martin Stadium. For more information about this event (including line-up, ticket sales, etc) click here.
