TUITION REMISSION

Students who are employees of the University System of Georgia schools may be qualified to receive a Tuition Remission benefit from member-schools. Tuition remission allows students to take courses with what is essentially a waiver of tuition and fees. Please check with your Human Relations Office to determine eligibility.

Students must complete an application process with both their home institution and with Valdosta State University. The deadlines may vary among institutions, and in some cases may precede the deadline for applications to the VSU Graduate School and the VSU-MLIS Program.

Students who believe they may be qualified under the tuition remission program should contact their Human Resources Office at the earliest possible date. If qualified, student should complete the necessary paperwork, again at the earliest possible date.

For the VSU process and TTR form, see http://www.usg.edu/employment/benefits/tuition/

Please be aware that:

  1. You must apply through your home institution and also at VSU
  2. Applications must be received by the indicated deadlines whether or not you have completed the application process or have received notification of acceptance into the program
  3. You will be required to reapply for TRR each semester
  4. The VSU-MLIS program cannot process your TRR application nor can it intercede for you should you miss a deadline.
