Recent Awards
Sarah Miranda Hepler, a spring 2008 MLIS graduate, received the fourth George Gaumond Award in spring 2008
Kara Mullen, current student, received the 2007 Georgia Library Association Paraprofessional Grant.
Viki Timian, current student, received the Supervisor of the Year Award from the University of Georgia Libraries Staff Association.
Miguel Vicente, current student, received the second Charles Beard Scholarship from the Georgia Library Association.
Recent Achievements
Dick Kawooya (MLIS 2002) is Assistant Director of the Center for Information Policy Research at the University of Wisconsin--Milwaukee School of Information Studies. He will serve as Acting Director during the 2008/09 academic year.
Patrick Roughen (MLIS 2007) is pursuing his doctoral degree at the University of South Carolina School of Library and Information Studies.
Sandra Hester (MLIS 2005), Colleen Knight (MLIS 2006), and Beverly Williams (current student) were selected for PINNACLE, a program for new public library leaders.
