Dr. David Walter Aguado, Assistant Professor of Spanish, Foreign Language Education. Dr. David Walter Aguado is of Spanish and French ancestry. Though born and raised in Cuba, he also studied in Germany, Canada and the U.S. He specializes in Latin American Literature and in Second Language Acquisition methodology. Dr. Miryam Espinosa-Dulanto, Assistant Professor, Spanish for Professionals.Prof. Espinosa-Dulanto’s writing as well as her academic research departs identifying herself as a woman of color, a Mestiza from the Borderlands, and a non-mainstream person in the US. From that perspective, she explores the construction and transmission of knowledge in US schools. Prof. Espinosa-Dulanto has taught in urban and rural settings, worked in teacher professional development, and had poetry readings in Asia, Europe, Latin America and in the United States. Currently, Prof. Espinosa-Dulanto is working on a Poetry Collection, “Finding Home in Memory: Stories of Immigration, Diaspora, and Dis/location. E-mail

Dr. Krisztina Weller, Assistant Professor of Spanish, Dr. Weller earned a doctorate specializing in Gothic and post Gothic fantasy/horror, from the University of Toronto. Although Canadian-Hungarian, her studies have taken her to Santander, Salamanca, Madrid and Barcelona Spain, and also to Mexico, Cuba, Venezuela, Costa Rica, the Southwestern U.S. and Miami.
