Dr. Cynthia Royal Tori
Interim Head and Associate Professor of Economics
Dr. Cynthia Royal Tori joined the Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business Administration faculty in 1998. She received her BS in finance from the University of Florida. After four years of working in the banking industry, Dr. Tori entered graduate school at University Kentucky where she received her Ph.D. in economics. Dr. Tori's principal research interests center on financial services, central banking and international trade. Dr. Tori's research has been published in the Journal of Macroeconomics, the Atlantic Economic Journal, and the International Journal of Economics and Finance. Dr. Tori enjoys working with and preparing her students for their chosen careers. She teaches Principles of Macroeconomics, Money and Banking and International Economics. Dr. Tori received the Innovative Teaching Award in 1999.
Dr. Tori is married with three children. Her hobbies include boating and spending time with her family and friends.
