The Video Editing Room is used by patrons to capture and edit raw video footage. Patrons can capture media from a variety of media formats – this includes audio and video resources.
The Video Editing Room contains the following equipment:
2 Panasonic CT-1388y Proline TV’s: These TV’s are used to monitor DVD’s and tapes during the capturing and rendering process.
1 Toshiba MD14FP1 TV/DVD Player Combo: This unit is used to view completed projects to confirm successful DVD project burns.
Proline AG-VP310 VHS/DVD Player Combo: This is used to capture and convert media..
Samsung SV-5000W Multi-standard VCR: This device is used to record international tapes to the American standard (NTSC).
Sony RDR-GX300 DVD Recorder: This device is used to convert from a variety of media types to DVDs.
Canon Elura 80 Mini DV Camcorder: This miniDV camcorder is used to capture miniDV tapes for editing with Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.
HP Workstation XW 8000: Intel ® Xeon ™ CPU with 3.06 GHz and 1.00 GB of RAM.
2 Compaq 7020 Monitors: This set up of two monitors provides more than enough workspace on the screen for patrons completing projects that require the use of dual monitors.
Eurorack UB1204-Pro: This is a 5 balance/unbalance input mixer used for capturing audio sources and narrations.
ADVC-100: This device captures analog and digital signals onto the computer for editing purposes.
Sony PSLX350H Record Player: This turntable is used to capture vinyl records onto the computer for editing and conversion purposes.
2 Microphones: These microphones are used to capture voice for digital editing purposes.
