For this example we will locate articles related to a topic in education.
- The GALILEO homepage appears as follows:
- Left click on the Journals A-Z tab
- Type the title of journal you would like to search in the box. (Ex: Mathematics Teaching)
- Left click on the Find Journal button
- If a journal is available in full-text electronically, the title of the journal will be listed on the results page.
- Left click on Mathematics teaching
- The next results list will include the names of databases that have access to the journal Mathematics teaching. You will be giving the name of the database and information about which publication years are available. For example, Mathematics teaching is available in EBSCOhost Academic Search Complete database from 2002 to current:
- Left click on EBSOhost Academic Search Complete
- When the database loads, left click on Search within this publication link
- Left click on the Advanced Search tab
- Type the following in the available search boxes, Learning AND Mathematics AND "Academic Achievement"
- Type the title of the journal you wish to search in the box next to Publication. For example, Mathematics teaching (this instructs the database to only search within Mathematics teaching)
- If there are articles available on the keywords entered into the search boxes, they will be displayed on a results page. For example, the following results page is for the keywords Learning AND Mathematics AND "Academic Achievement":
