This webpage describes how to use Flickr, the free photosharing website.
First, sign on to Flickr by either clicking on "Sign Up" to create an account, or "Sign In" if you have already created an account.
At the top of the page, click on the "Upload" link.
Click the "Browse..." buttons to find the files you want to upload. You can upload six at a time. Click on "Upload" once you have selected all the photos you want to upload.
A message will pop up telling you that your photos are being uploaded and then processed.
Then you will have the option to add a title, description, and tags for each photo. When you are done, click on "Save."
That's it! Your photos are uploaded!
To add an image to a set, first upload your image. Then click on the image. Above the selected image, you will see a button that says, "Add to Set." Click on that button.
In the drop-down window, type in the set's Title and Description. Click on "Create New Set."
Click "OK."
On the right, you will see that your image has been added to the set.
To add a caption to an image, just click the yellow box underneath the image (it may not show up until you put your mouse's cursor over that spot). Then type in your description of the image. When you are done, click on "Save."
Your caption will appear beneath the image.
Underneath each image is a Comment box. To leave a comment on a photo, just click in the Comment box and type in your comment. Click on "Post Comment" to save it.
First you need to click on the "Group" link at the top of the page.
Then on the right hand side, search for the name of your group, which is "VisualRhetoric."
Your group will show up.
Click on the group's name. On the right side of the screen, click on "Join this group?"
Confirm by clicking on "Join this group."
Once you're in the group, you'll see a link to view all the members of the group. Click this link.
Now all you have to do is find individual classmates to comment on their photo essays.
