E-mail Reference Question Form
Who may use this service?
This service is primarily intended for the students, faculty, and staff of Valdosta State University. Questions from outside this community should be restricted to questions of local holdings or other unique local information.
As a library in the Federal Depository Library Program, we will honor all requests for government information.
What kinds of questions may I ask?
This is a reference, not a research service. Questions must be factual and/or lend themselves to a short answer. In addition, we can suggest a research strategy or direct you to a particular resource.
We cannot e-mail or FAX materials to you (archival items excepted in some cases). If you are a VSU student, faculty, or staff and would like an item not available at the Odum library, contact ILL - Odum Express.
When can I expect a response?
This service is monitored Monday-Friday 8am- 5pm, excluding holidays. You should receive a response within 2 business days (e.g., A question submitted on Friday will receive a response by Tuesday). If an immediate response is needed, call the Reference Department at (229) 333-7149.
