All the most commonly requested tables are reproduced. Table notes direct you to the original publications, resulting in a veritable index to the statistical publications of the US. Demographic Information 5) U.S. Census Bureau (http://www.census.gov/) A guide to the Census Bureau, its programs, publications, and data. Useful features: “Subjects A to Z” (an extensive subject index), and FAQ’s (a knowledge base). 6) American Factfinder (http://factfinder.census.gov/) This is a major tool for accessing data from the Decennial Census, the American Community Survey, the Economic Census, and the Annual Economic Surveys. 7) Consumer Expenditure Survey (http://www.bls.gov/cex/) Annual expenditure data. The CES is actually composed of two separate studies: an interview survey, and a diary study. There is roughly a 2 year lag in publishing. 8) Monthly Labor Review (http://purl.access.gpo.gov/GPO/LPS806) The MLR, a monthly, is a major government periodical.
