FOLKLIFE OF WIREGRASS GEORGIA

Many black and white photographs in the exhibit were taken in 1977 by folklorists from the American Folklife Center at the Library of congress working in cooperation with the Arts Experiment station and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton. Additional photos were collected by the South Georgia Folklife Project at Valdosta State University. This exhibit combines new material with text and images from an earlier exhibit of the same name produced by the Arts Experiment Station in the late 1980's.
