SACRED HARP IN SOUTHEAST GEORGIA

Silas Lee (grave marker shown here) married Lazarus Dowling’s granddaughter and like Dowling was a noted Sacred Harp teacher and song leader. Family members sang the Sacred Harp songs engraved on Lee’s headstone at his funeral.
