What are you reading?

I just finished reading Grimspace for the second time. Ann Aguire’s second book, Wanderlust, comes out next Tuesday and I decided to gear up for the release by rereading Grimspace. Now, if I read a book for a second time, you know it has to be a really good book. My to-be-read pile is pretty substantial.

Grimspace is one of the best sci-fi books I read this summer. The action is non-stop. The characters are unique and engaging with their fair share of flaws and issues, which makes them all the more interesting. It’s hard to predict what the characters will do next, so I keep on reading to see what will happen next. (Predictable books are boring-blech!)

Plus, the cover art is really cool!

Friday Feedback: Furniture

We all know that studying long hours requires a comfortable place to be.  We try to provide a variety of furniture for working, reading,
studying and (occasionally, we have discovered) napping!  Let us know what you think of the library’s furniture–an integral part to making
Odum Library the place to be!  Leave a comment below with your thoughts.

Friday Feedback: Listening Lab

Did you know that we have an entire room dedicated to listening and viewing audio/visual materials? You can check out the Listening Lab on
the second floor behind the IT Helpdesk. In this room you can play records, 8-tracks, tapes, CDs and DVDs. You will also discover a host
of musical scores in the Listening Lab. Can you find what you need? Did it measure up to your expectations? Let us know by leaving a
comment below.

Friday Feedback: Exhibits

If you’re tired of studying, we’ve always got plenty of exhibits to explore. Check out the museum on the fourth floor of the library, or
wander around the library addition’s first and third floors to see displays of local culture and history. On the first floor of the
library we also have rotating displays celebrating culture and library history. Do you have suggestions or comments on our exhibits? Let us
know by leaving a comment below.

Friday Feedback: Current Periodicals Room

Part of the fun of being in a library is being able to browse the magazines and journals.  With issues of Journal of the American Medical
Association
Jazz Times and Jet magazine all within easy reach of each other, we have done our best to make it easy to find the latest
information on the topic of your choice!  Let us know what you like, dislike, or want changed about the Current Periodicals Room by leaving
a comment below.
