We’re re-labeling our giant kids’ books, so half of them haven’t been placed in the new location yet (3rd floor, behind the LZ books).

If you’re unfamiliar with “big books,” they’re for shared reading with a group of children– the book is large enough so everyone can see both illustrations and text.

If you’re working with children this semester, remember we also have awesome hand puppets available to check out. Ask for them at the Circulation desk.

And please remember to set up a PIN for your library account.  If you need help, ask us (chat here).

Beginning Friday, January 15th, library users will need a PIN (Personal Identification Number) to logon to their My GIL account.  In an effort to provide more security in accessing your account online, the use of a PIN has been implemented.   Since the user determines the PIN, this helps ensure prevention of unauthorized access to your account.

With the new Sherlock Holmes movie hitting theaters, we’re reminded of the many Holmes stories we have available to check out, including The Whitechapel Horrors (pitting the detective against Saucy Jack).
