Neat Stuff: Life on Other Planets

Neat Stuff recommends Forbidden Planet, the 1956 movie featuring Leslie Nielsen and Robby the Robot. The DVD includes a documentary about science fiction in the 1950s. Odum Library also has Kenneth Heuer’s 1951 book Men of Other Planets, a mix of science and speculation about life on other planets (perhaps “thinking and talking trees†on Venus) as well as the sun, moon, asteroids and comets.
