Neat Stuff: Those Wailing Tudors

The library recently acquired the out-of-print 11 volume set of scores titled Tudor Church Music. Designated a Monument of Music, this set is one of the most scholarly editions of works by the Tudor composers. Represented in these volumes are works by William Byrd, Thomas Tallis, John Taverner, Orlando Gibbons, Robert White, Thomas Tomkins, and other minor composers. For many of these composers, this set provides the only published scholarly version of the work.
