Cataloging: Voyager Item Types
NOTE: In Voyager Cataloging, we use the Item Type not to indicate material types but to control circulation of materials. Material codes in the old system were used to show the patron if an item was a book, kit, video, etc., but in WebVoyage, when the patron sees this type of information it is drawn from fixed fields and 007 tags in the MARC bibliographic record.
This is a partial translation of formerly used material codes to Voyager Item Types.
