Creating a Dummy Authority Record

  1. Save bibliographic record to database with Preference for Authoriry Validation toggled on; this brings up your authority verification window.

  2. Highlight the incorrect heading and click on Create Authority; this creates a dummy authority record.

  3. Save the authority record to the database.

  4. Change the heading to the desired heading

  5. Save the changed authority record to the database; this will place the dummy heading in the Global Change Queue.

  6. After the global change is run, delete the dummy authority record.
