To match a record to the book in hand:

Match exactly:

  • Author[s]
  • Title
  • Publisher name and place
  • Dates on
    • Title page [or verso] of book
    • Fixed field date
    • 260 field
    • Call number
  • Page numbers (Check last page against number of pages in 300 field)
Delete the following tags:
