Where can I photocopy library materials? 

Coin-operated self-service black-and-white photocopiers are located in the Internet Cafe, in the 1st floor Copier Room 1629, and in the 2nd floor Copier Room 2621.  Copies are ten cents each.  Nickels, dimes, quarters, and $1 bills are accepted.  Library patrons are responsible for complying with copyright laws when copying library materials.  Please report photocopier equipment problems to the 2nd floor Circulation Desk.

Where can I get change for the library copiers? 

Copies are ten cents each.  Nickels, dimes, quarters, and $1 bills are accepted by the coin-operated photocopiers.   Change can also be provided at the Circulation Desk on 2nd floor.  On weekends and after 4 p.m. on weekdays, 2nd floor Circulation staff can only make change for a $5.00 bill or less.

I want to print or make a copy from the microfilm, is that possible?

The 2nd floor Copier room 2621 has two coin-operated microfilm printers/scanners.  Microfilm page copies cost 10 cents per page.  Microfilm page scanned image files can be sent to an e-mail account at no cost.

Photocopier problems should be reported to the staff at the 2nd floor Circulation desk.

Is there a fee for printing in the library?

Library visitors must purchase a Guest Print 1Card (see below).  Black-and-white printing on 8.5" X 11" paper will continue to be free for students, staff, and faculty until the beginning of Fall semester 2008. Remember to bring your VSU 1Card to swipe at the printer as shown in this Instructional Video and also explained on the Campus Computer Lab Print Solution page.   Color printing is only available in the Media Center and there is a cost.  Available Media Center Price List.

Where can a buy a Guest Print 1Card?

There is a one dollar charge for the non-refundable VSU Guest Print 1Card available for purchase at the 2nd floor Circulation desk and in 1st floor Media Center. .

Can I get a refund for Guest Print 1Card

Money will not be refunded, nor will funds be credited to a 1Card. Any and all problems should be reported immediately for possible print job replacement, the only available option.

The printer has a paper jam or produced a poor print, what should I do?

Printer problems should be reported immediatley to the nearest computer lab monitor or other library service point. Print job replacement is the only option for poor quality. Money will not be refunded, nor will funds be credited to a 1Card.

Are there alternatives to printing?

Yes. Most files can be saved to a flash drive or CD-R or CD-RW. In many cases, the file, Word document, Excel spreadsheet, Powerpoint presentation or PDF (portable document file) can be sent as an e-mail attachment to yourself.
