Electronic resources

Having trouble accessing a particular article or database? Try these tips:

  • if you are off campus, make sure to log in with your BlazeNet username and password on the Anywhere Access page before you begin your search (this step is not necessary if you are using a computer on campus)
  • once you've identified the article you want, look for a link below the citation that indicates "PDF" or "Full text" - these links will bring you to the full text of the article
  • if there is no link indicating PDF or full text, try the "Find It" button (this button enables you to find other databases in which the article might be located )
  • if you click on the "Find It" button and the pop-up window indicates there is no full text available for that item, then it is likely the library does not subscribe to the journal in which the article is found
  • mistakes do occasionally occur, causing this message to pop up even when we do have access to the article, so it never hurts to double-check by taking the following steps:
    1. From the library homepage, select the Journals tab (you may be prompted to log in with your BlazeNet username and password)
    2. Enter the title of the journal in the electronic journal search box
    3. On the next page, select any of the databases listed under the journal entry
    4. From here, search for the article by title or by issue/volume/date and page number

Contact the Reference Desk (229-333.7149) if you are still having difficulty accessing a particular database or article, or if you have additional questions.
