Summer 2009 LCOBA Study-Abroad in Europe!

Great Opportunity: The Langdale College of Business Administration has its own 4-week program of business courses in scenic southern Germany on the Rhine River. It is on the campus of Karlsruhe University of Applied Science in Baden-Wurttemberg, a region which borders France, Switzerland and Austria:

June 21 - July 22, 2009

The cost of $3,999 includes a Eurail Pass for travel in Europe.

Submit ASAP the $250.00 registration fee to David Starling at the Center for International Programs located at 204 Georgia Avenue to reserve a place. This opportunity is limited to the first 25 applicants on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Program History

In 2007, the Langdale College of Business Administration initiated its own 4-week program of business courses in scenic southern Germany on the borders of Switzerland, France and Austria, at the edge of beautiful Lake Constance (Bodensee) on the campus of Zeppelin University. Dr. Andrew Ostapski, Program Director, and Dr. Cliff Lipscomb taught in the program. Mr. David Starling, Assistant Director of VSU's Center for International Programs, was Site Director and Co-Instructor of German Language and Culture.

In 2008, Dr. Andrew Ostapski, Dr. David Kuhlmeier, and Dr. Fred Ware taught at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Science in Southwestern Germany on the Rhine River near Strasbourg, France.

Since 1997, faculty from the Langdale College of Business have been teaching business courses overseas and many Langdale College students have been enrolled. More recently, Dr. Andrew Ostapski and Dr. Cliff Lipscomb taught at Zeppelin University (Germany) in 2007. During summer semester, 2006, Dr. Fred Ware taught in Paris, France while Dr. Cliff Lipscomb taught in China. Dr. Donna Cunningham taught in southern Germany during the summer of 2005.
