Points of emphasis:
- MATH 1261 should be taken in the Economics Major’s Sophomore year and BUSA 2100 must be taken no later than the First Semester of the Junior year. They are prerequisites or co-requisites for ECON 3000.
- Both ECON 3000 and ECON 3001 need to be taken in the Economics Major’s Junior year. They are prerequisites for ECON 4100.
- ECON 3001 needs to be taken in the spring semester of the Economics Major’s Junior year. It is a prerequisite for ECON 4500.
- Summer Semester Issues: Do not rely on taking major level Economics courses in summer semester; often they are not offered in summer semester.
- If it is the transitional semester and the student needs to take one Senior level course, it needs to be BUSA 2100.
- If it is the transitional semester and the student needs to take two Senior level courses, they need to be BUSA 2100 and either ECON 3000 or ECON 3001.
- If the transitional semester is the summer semester and the student needs to take one Senior level course, it needs to be BUSA 2100.
- If the transitional semester is the summer semester and the student needs to take two Senior level courses, they need to be BUSA 2100 and an upper level Economics course if offered.
A minimum of four (4) elective courses is needed for graduation.
