Dr. Elvan Aktas
Assistant Professor of Finance
Dr. Elvan Aktas, who joined the faculty of the Langdale College of Business Administration in fall 2007 as an assistant professor of finance, has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bilkent University (Ankara, Turkey, 1995) and a Ph.D. from the University of Florida (2004). Dr. Aktas worked for the Center for Real Estate Research as an assistant during his graduate studies. Before joining VSU, Dr. Aktas worked for Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business as an assistant professor of finance. His research and teaching interests are investments, derivative securities, and international finance.
