Research in the Keys

Since joining Blazer Nation in 1995 as a chemistry professor, Dr. Tom Manning has been taking a nine-day research trip to the Florida Keys with students every year. Dr. Manning’s trip involves a week of camping outdoors and conducting projects that focus on coral restoration and the development of new bacteria to treat soft tissue sarcoma. This year, a Mass Media student was able to gain hands-on experience by traveling with the group to document the research through video for the university’s marketing team.
