Macromedia Contribute @ VSU
Beginning in late summer 2006 we began using the Macromedia Contribute Content Management System to manage the rollout of our new website design.
The guides and information linked to here to provide a first stop for information on using the Contribute Publishing System to manage the various deparmental webpages at VSU.
Also, if you have designated as a Publisher or Designer for your department, you should have been added to the BlazeNet group Operation Contribute, which will be a gathering place for information and tips on using the system.
If you have questions that are not answered on these pages, feel free to contact VSU Webservices at 229-333-7315 or via e-mail at webservices@valdosta.edu.

Designer Guides (Advanced)
The following guides are targeted to the individuals that are designated as Designers for their particular department. Only those individuals who need direct access to the source code of the pages will need this. If your department has not designated someone for this, or you are uncomfortable working with the raw source code for the files, please contact Webservices with your needs and we will be happy to help you.
Software Downloads
The Contribute software is available on most faculty and staff machines via the Novell ZenWorks mechanism referenced in the Installing Macromedia Contribute guide. In some cases, however, the Novell ZenWorks client is not installed on your computer which hinders the normal installation routine we endorse.
If you don't have the ZenWorks Agent installed on your computer, please contact the VSU IT Helpdesk at 245-4357 or helpdesk@valdosta.edu to place a work order to have it installed.
