Personal pages in Contribute

This is a guide designed to show how to use Contribute to control a personal website on the www.valdosta.edu server.

Step 1: Open Contribute and click on Website Connection

Step 2: A box will open up, click continue

Create a connection

Step 3: Type in the url of your valdosta.edu personal account (www.valdosa.edu/~username)

Choose a connection

Step 4: Click Continue

Step 5: A message box will appear, click ok

Step 6: Select Secure FTP (SFTP)

Step 7: Fill out the information about your website

Step 8: Wait for Contribute to finish testing your connection

Testing Connection

Step 9: Check to see that the information is correct, then click ok

Step 10: Check the information and click finish

Summary

Step 11: Start editing your website

Edit your website

If you have a problem connecting it could mean that you do not know your ftp username and password or need to reset your ftp password. Contact the Helpdesk at (229)245-4357 or helpdesk@valdosta.edu.
