Requirements for History Minors

For the Minor in History, students must complete 15 credits in History – normally satisfied by taking 5 Upper Level courses. Although students may not use HIST 2111 or 2112 for the Minor, they can use up to 6 credits of World Civilizations courses (1011, 1012, or 1013) if these courses are not used to satisfy core requirements in Area E.

For example, if a student uses 3 credits of World Civilizations courses for the Minor, then the remaining 12 credits would be Upper Level. If a student uses 6 credits of World Civilization courses, then the remaining 9 credits would be Upper Level.
