TIP: Blazeview / Safari 4 Compatibility Issues

Apple has recently released the Safari 4 web browser for Mac OS X and Windows. We DO NOT RECOMMEND that you upgrade if you need to access Blazeview or WebCT for online courses, as this version of Safari is NOT COMPATIBLE with either service and has been known to cause, among other issues, the following:

  • The HTML creation does not function
  • Chat rooms are disabled
  • The course menu toolbar will not maximize, and thus, you will only see icons without descriptions

If you have already upgraded to Safari 4, please access Blazeview / WebCT through the recommended version of Internet Explorer or Firefox instead.
