Extracting Zip Files

Step 1

Double click on the zip file. It should look like a folder with a zipper.

Step 2

A new window named after the zip file will appear. Click on the "File" menu. Then, click "Extract All..."

The Extraction Wizard window will appear. Click the "Next" button.

On the next screen, click the "Browse" button.

Step 5

The "Select a destination" window will appear. Click on "Desktop". Then, click the "Make New Folder" button.

Step 6

Type in a name for the new folder. Then, click the "OK" button.

Step 7

The "Select a destination" window will close and you will be returned to the "Extraction Wizard" window. Click the "Next" button.

Step 8

On the next screen, make sure the checkbox in front of "Show extracted files" is marked. Then, click the "Finish" button.

A window showing the contents of the zip file will be displayed.
