Section 7: Sound Settings
Step 1:
Click the Start button.
Then, click Control Panel.
Step 2:
Click the Hardware and Sound link.
Step 3:
Click the Adjust system volume link.
Step 4:
Make sure neither the Device Volume nor Applications Volume are muted. Then, use the sliders in each section to adjust the playback volume. Finally, click the X button on the top-right corner of the window to close the window.
Note: Use the screenshots below to confirm whether or not playback is muted. If it is, click the muted icon and it will become an unmuted icon.
Step 5:
Click Manage audio devices.
Step 6:
Click the Recording tab. Then, click Microphone. Finally, click the Properties button.
Step 7:
Use the slider to adjust the microphone volume level. Then, click the OK button.
